My Latest Costco Haul: Clearance Finds, P&G Rebate Deals, Easy Meals and More

I went to Costco for my usual grocery run and came home with a pretty good mix of everyday staples, clearance finds, easy meals, household products, dorm storage, and a couple of clothing finds for my son.

This was also a good trip for instant savings. I picked up several qualifying Procter and Gamble products toward Costco’s rebate promotion, found sunscreen on clearance with long expiration dates, and even caught a pricing issue on a pair of Puma sneakers before I left the warehouse.

Here’s everything I bought and why it made it into my cart.

I’m Working Toward a $60 Costco Shop Card

One of the deals I’m paying attention to right now is Costco’s Procter and Gamble rebate promotion.

If I spend $200 on qualifying Procter and Gamble products from August 24, 2026 to September 20, 2026, I can get a $60 Costco Shop Card.

What I like about this deal is that I don’t have to spend the entire $200 in one Costco trip. I can accumulate qualifying purchases throughout the month, which means I can stick with products my family already uses instead of buying things just to reach the rebate.

Oral-B Floss

The Oral-B floss is $14.99 with a $4 instant rebate, bringing it down to $10.99.

This is actually the only floss I use. I like it because it’s nice and thin, so I was happy to see it on sale.

It also counts toward the Procter and Gamble rebate.

Cascade Gel

I also picked up Cascade gel for $12.49.

This is another qualifying Procter and Gamble purchase and something we regularly use at home.

Gain Oxi Liquid Laundry Detergent

The Gain Oxi liquid laundry detergent is $19.99 with a $4 instant rebate, bringing it down to $15.99.

This also counts toward the Procter and Gamble promotion.

Always Infinity Flex

The Always Infinity Flex is $17.99 with a $4 instant rebate, bringing it down to $13.99.

That gives me another qualifying purchase toward the rebate.

Altogether, these four Procter and Gamble items came to $53.46 after the instant savings.

That means I still need $146.54 in qualifying purchases to reach the $200 threshold.

I have the rest of the promotional period to get there, so I plan to keep an eye out for products we already need.

Costco Clearance Sunscreen Finds

I found two sunscreen deals on clearance, and these were easy stock-up purchases for me.

CeraVe Sunscreen

The CeraVe sunscreen is $12.97 for a two-pack.

My daughter uses this sunscreen every day, so when I saw the clearance price, I stocked up.

When I buy sunscreen on clearance, I always check the expiration date before buying extra.

Sun Bum SPF 50

The Sun Bum SPF 50 sunscreen is $10.97.

The package I bought expires in October 2027, so I felt comfortable stocking up.

Since sunscreen is something we know we’ll use, I don’t mind buying ahead when I find a clearance price and there is still plenty of time before it expires.

Breakfast and High-Protein Foods

I also restocked several breakfast staples and picked up a couple of higher-protein products to try.

Kirkland Signature Organic Eggs

The Kirkland Signature organic eggs are $7.99 for two dozen.

Eggs are one of those basics we go through regularly, so they’re a pretty standard Costco purchase for our family.

Chobani 20G Protein Yogurt

The Chobani 20G Protein yogurt is $6.79 with a $2.10 instant rebate, bringing it down to $4.69.

My husband and I are trying to eat more protein while cutting down on sugar, so I wanted an easy protein option that I could just grab from the refrigerator.

Chobani Flavored Yogurt

I also bought a case of Chobani yogurt for $17.99.

This one is for my son. He eats yogurt every day, but he prefers flavored yogurt.

That’s why two different Chobani products ended up in the same Costco haul.

Kirkland Signature Ultra-Filtered Milk

The Kirkland Signature ultra-filtered milk is $11.59.

This is a new product for me.

I normally buy Kirkland Signature A2 whole milk, but I wanted to try the ultra-filtered milk because of the higher protein.

I drink a cappuccino every day and use milk in my Philips coffee machine, so that’s mainly how I plan to use it.

Costco Produce Staples

I kept the produce part of this trip pretty simple.

Avocados

The avocados are $7.99.

I love eating avocado with Kirkland Signature Everything Bagel Seasoning, so these get used pretty quickly in our house.

Organic Bananas

The organic bananas are $2.49.

I never like running out of bananas, so I almost always buy a bunch when I’m at Costco.

Pineapple

The pineapple is $3.99.

I like cutting up a whole pineapple and keeping it ready in the refrigerator. Once it’s prepared, everyone can grab it for breakfast or a snack.

Easy Costco Meals for Busy Nights

I like keeping a few convenient meals in the refrigerator for the nights when I didn’t plan ahead.

Chicken Piccata

The chicken piccata is $13.99 with a $3.50 instant rebate, bringing it down to $10.49.

This was my first time trying it, and it was a hit.

My son liked it so much that he told me to buy four more packs the next time I’m at Costco.

Sukhi’s Chicken Tikka Masala

Sukhi’s chicken tikka masala is $15.99.

This is one of my son’s favorites, and I almost always keep a pack in the refrigerator.

It’s one of my easiest last-minute meal options.

My Backup Rice for Nights I Didn’t Plan Ahead

The Seeds of Change organic quinoa and brown rice is $12.99 with a $3 instant rebate, bringing it down to $9.99.

I think of this as my backup side dish.

Normally, I make rice in the rice cooker. But there are plenty of nights when I realize at the last minute that I forgot to start it.

That’s when these packs come in handy.

I can heat one up and serve it with something like the Sukhi’s chicken tikka masala, and dinner is basically ready.

Why I Bought an Extra Bag of Jasmine Rice

I also picked up a bag of Kirkland Signature Thai jasmine rice for $19.99.

This was more of a pantry stock-up purchase.

With gas prices being high, I’ve been thinking more about inflation and the possibility of grocery prices going up.

Rice is something my family already eats regularly, it stores well, and I know we’ll use it.

So I decided I’d rather have an extra bag in the pantry than wait until we’re completely out.

Trying Avocado Oil for High-Heat Cooking

I picked up avocado oil for $25.99.

This is another product I’m trying for the first time.

One of the reasons I wanted avocado oil is its high smoke point. I’m planning to use it for higher-heat cooking, especially frying and searing.

Since I cook regularly, I’m curious to see whether this Costco-sized bottle becomes a repeat purchase.

Dorm Storage That Can Double as a Bookshelf

I also picked up three Iris storage bins for my daughter’s dorm.

They are $11.99 each with a $3 instant rebate, bringing them down to $8.99 each.

She wants a bookshelf in her dorm room, but I didn’t love the idea of hauling a heavy bookshelf back and forth.

These bins seemed much more practical.

She can stack them and use them almost like a small bookshelf, but she can also rearrange them or use them individually for storage.

For a small dorm room, I like anything that can serve more than one purpose.

Nike Hoodie for My Son

I also picked up a Nike hoodie for my son for $36.99.

He can wear it to school, and the Costco price caught my attention because similar Nike hoodies are often around $50 on Nike’s website.

For something I know he’ll actually wear, I liked getting it for less at Costco.

Why I Always Check My Costco Receipt

Finally, I picked up a pair of Puma sneakers.

This purchase turned into a good reminder to always check your Costco receipt before leaving the warehouse.

The sneakers rang up at $31.99, but the sign I saw while shopping showed a $6 instant rebate.

The rebate didn’t come off at checkout.

It turned out that the promotion had expired one day earlier, but the old sign was still up.

Thankfully, I had taken a picture of the sign.

I showed the photo at the customer service desk, and Costco honored the posted price and gave me a $6 price adjustment.

After the adjustment, the Puma sneakers are $25.99.

Getting a price adjustment does take a little extra time because you have to wait at the customer service desk, but in this case I thought it was worth it.

I was also very glad I had taken a picture. Without it, I might have had to wait even longer for an employee to go back into the warehouse and verify that the sign was still there.

The lesson from this Costco trip: always take a quick look at your receipt before you leave, especially when you’re buying items with instant rebates.
