Costco is continuing to expand in 2026, with new warehouses opening in communities across the United States.
For Costco members, a new warehouse can make a surprisingly big difference. It can mean a shorter drive for groceries, easier access to Costco Gas and other services, and another shopping option when existing warehouses get especially crowded.
Several new locations that were originally reported as August openings have also had their schedules updated, so shoppers planning to visit one of these warehouses will want to pay attention to the latest dates.

Albany, New York — Opened August 6, 2026
Costco’s long-awaited Albany, New York warehouse officially opened on August 6, 2026.

The opening is especially notable because it brings Costco to New York’s Capital Region, giving shoppers in and around Albany a warehouse much closer to home.
According to Costco, the Albany location includes a Tire Service Center, Hearing Aid Center, Optical Department, Pharmacy, Gas Station, and other warehouse services.
Inside, shoppers can expect the familiar Costco experience, including groceries, fresh foods, Kirkland Signature products, household essentials, clothing, electronics, appliances, seasonal merchandise, and the rotating selection of new products that makes every Costco trip a little different.
For residents who previously had to make a much longer drive for a Costco run, the Albany opening is a major addition to the area.
Costco lists regular weekday shopping hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with separate Executive Member shopping hours available earlier in the day.
Oconomowoc, Wisconsin — Opened on August 7, 2026
Costco’s new Oconomowoc, Wisconsin warehouse officially opened on August 7, 2026.

Oconomowoc sits west of Milwaukee, making this location particularly convenient for Costco members living in communities that previously required a longer trip to reach another warehouse.

Otsego, Minnesota — Opening August 14, 2026
Minnesota is getting another Costco when the new Otsego warehouse opens on August 14, 2026.

The location expands Costco’s presence northwest of the Minneapolis–St. Paul area and should be especially convenient for shoppers in Otsego and surrounding communities.

For families who regularly stock up on meat, produce, frozen foods, snacks, beverages, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other household basics, having a closer warehouse could turn Costco into a much more convenient part of everyday shopping.
The new warehouse will also provide members with another option when nearby Costco locations are crowded.
Mansfield, Texas — Warehouse Opening August 25, 2026
Costco is continuing to grow in Texas with a new warehouse in Mansfield.

There’s an interesting detail with this opening.
The Costco Gas Station at the Mansfield location officially opened on August 5, 2026, but the main warehouse is scheduled to open on August 25, 2026.
That means local Costco members can already use the gas station while waiting for the full warehouse to open later in the month.
Mansfield is part of the rapidly growing Dallas–Fort Worth region, where Costco already operates multiple warehouses.
Even with several existing locations, continued residential growth can create enough demand for additional Costco stores.
