New Costco Stores Opening in 2026

Costco is continuing to expand in 2026, with new warehouses opening in communities across the United States.

For Costco members, a new warehouse can make a surprisingly big difference. It can mean a shorter drive for groceries, easier access to Costco Gas and other services, and another shopping option when existing warehouses get especially crowded.

Here’s the latest look at some of the new Costco stores opening in 2026.

Updated October 19, 2026: Costco has announced additional warehouse openings for October and November. We’ve updated this list with the latest confirmed locations and opening dates.

Albany, New York — Opened August 6, 2026

Costco’s long-awaited Albany, New York warehouse officially opened on August 6, 2026.

The new Costco is located at:

1701 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203

The opening is especially notable because it brings Costco to New York’s Capital Region, giving shoppers in and around Albany a warehouse much closer to home.

According to Costco, the Albany location includes a Tire Service Center, Hearing Aid Center, Optical Department, Pharmacy, Gas Station, and other warehouse services.

Inside, shoppers can expect the familiar Costco experience, including groceries, fresh foods, Kirkland Signature products, household essentials, clothing, electronics, appliances, seasonal merchandise, and the rotating selection of new products that makes every Costco trip a little different.

For residents who previously had to make a much longer drive for a Costco run, the Albany opening is a major addition to the area.

Costco lists regular weekday shopping hours from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Gold Star and Business members shop 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; Executive members can start at 9 a.m.

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin — Opened on August 7, 2026

Costco’s new Oconomowoc, Wisconsin warehouse officially opened on August 7, 2026.

The warehouse is located at:

1855 Kirkland Way
Oconomowoc, WI 53066

Oconomowoc sits west of Milwaukee, making this location particularly convenient for Costco members living in communities that previously required a longer trip to reach another warehouse.

A new Costco in the area also gives shoppers another choice beyond existing southeastern Wisconsin locations.

That can be especially helpful for regular Costco members because warehouse traffic can vary considerably. Weekend shopping trips, the days before major holidays, and popular sale periods can make some warehouses extremely busy.

Having another Costco nearby gives members more flexibility when planning their shopping trips.

Otsego, Minnesota — Opened August 14, 2026

Costco’s new warehouse is located at:

11910 60th Street NE
Otsego, MN 55301

The location expands Costco’s presence northwest of the Minneapolis–St. Paul area and should be especially convenient for shoppers in Otsego and surrounding communities.

For families who regularly stock up on meat, produce, frozen foods, snacks, beverages, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other household basics, having a closer warehouse could turn Costco into a much more convenient part of everyday shopping.

Mansfield, Texas — Warehouse Opened August 25, 2026

Costco is continuing to grow in Texas with a new warehouse in Mansfield.

The Mansfield Costco is located at:

1500 S. US Highway 287
Mansfield, TX 76063

Mansfield is part of the rapidly growing Dallas–Fort Worth region, where Costco already operates multiple warehouses.

Even with several existing locations, continued residential growth can create enough demand for additional Costco stores.

For shoppers in the southern part of the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the Mansfield location could provide a much more convenient option for groceries, household essentials, Costco Gas, and larger stock-up trips.

Celina, Texas — Opened August 26, 2026

Costco’s new Celina, Texas warehouse is located in:

3445 S. Preston Rd,
Celina, TX 75009

Celina is another rapidly growing community north of Dallas, making it an important part of Costco’s continued expansion throughout North Texas.

A Costco in Celina could be especially useful for residents who currently drive south toward other warehouses in the Dallas area.

Instead of making Costco an occasional destination trip, having a warehouse nearby could make it easier for families to use Costco for regular grocery and household shopping.

Stone Mountain, Georgia — Opened August 27, 2026

Georgia shoppers got a new Costco in Stone Mountain.

The warehouse is located at:

1915 West Park Place Boulevard
Stone Mountain, GA 30087

Like Mansfield, the Stone Mountain location opened in stages. The Gas Station opened first before the main warehouse opened.

The Stone Mountain location will expand Costco’s presence in the greater Atlanta area and provide another shopping option for members who currently travel to existing warehouses.

For Costco shoppers, an additional location in a busy metropolitan area can be particularly useful. Not only does it reduce the drive for some households, but it can also help distribute shoppers between multiple locations.

Lee’s Summit, Missouri — Opened October 2, 2026

Costco officially opened its Lee’s Summit, Missouri, warehouse on October 2, 2026, following a delay from its original August opening date. The new warehouse gives Costco members in the southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area another shopping option.

The Lee’s Summit warehouse will expand Costco’s presence in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The new warehouse will be located at:

10 SE Oldham Parkway
Lee’s Summit, MO 64063

Costco already operates warehouses around the Kansas City region, but Lee’s Summit gives members living southeast of the city another option closer to home.

The new location is expected to include several major warehouse services, including a Gas Station, Tire Service Center, Food Court, Hearing Aid services, Pharmacy, and Optical Department.

The Colony, Texas- Opened October 16, 2026

Costco officially opened its new warehouse in The Colony, Texas, on October 16, 2026.

6060 Grandscape Boulevard, The Colony, TX 75056

With Costco continuing to add warehouses across Texas, the new location will give shoppers in The Colony and surrounding communities another option for buying Costco groceries, household products and Kirkland Signature favorites.

Amherst, New York- Opening October 28, 2026

Costco’s new Amherst, New York, warehouse is scheduled to open on October 28, 2026.

The new warehouse is located at:

4230 Ridge Lea Road
Amherst, NY 14226

The Costco gas station at this location opened on September 4, ahead of the main warehouse.

According to Costco, the new warehouse will include a pharmacy, optical department, hearing aid center, gas station and tire service center. The location will give shoppers in Amherst and the surrounding Buffalo area another option for groceries, household essentials and Kirkland Signature favorites.

431 W. Ventura Boulevard
Camarillo, CA 93010

A new Costco Business Center is scheduled to open in Chandler on November 7, 2026.

Newport News, Virginia — Opening November 2026

Costco’s new Franklin warehouse is scheduled to open November 25, 2026, at 8 a.m., just one day before Thanksgiving.

The new warehouse will expand Costco’s presence in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Why Do Costco Opening Dates Change?

Costco opening dates can move, which is why shoppers sometimes see different dates reported for the same warehouse.

A location might initially appear on Costco’s upcoming locations list with only a month rather than a specific opening day.

As construction progresses, Costco can provide a more precise date.

Schedules may also be affected by construction, final inspections, permits, staffing, equipment installation, or other preparations needed before thousands of shoppers can start visiting the warehouse.

There’s also another detail shoppers may notice with new Costco locations: the gas station sometimes opens before the warehouse.

That’s exactly what happened with the Mansfield, Texas and Stone Mountain, Georgia locations in August 2026.

Both Costco Gas Stations opened on August 5, while their main warehouses are scheduled to open later in the month.

What Can You Expect From a Brand New Costco?

While every warehouse can have slightly different departments and services, shoppers generally know what to expect when a new Costco opens.

Inside the warehouse, you’ll typically find bulk groceries, meat and seafood, fresh produce, bakery items, frozen foods, snacks, beverages, household essentials, cleaning products, clothing, electronics, appliances, furniture, seasonal items, and a large selection of Kirkland Signature products.

The rotating merchandise is also one of the reasons shoppers enjoy visiting Costco regularly.

A warehouse might have outdoor furniture and gardening supplies one month, back-to-school products the next, and holiday decorations not long after that.

Then there are all the unexpected food and household finds that can appear for a limited time.

Depending on the location, shoppers may also have access to services such as Costco Gas, a Tire Service Center, Pharmacy, Optical Department, Hearing Aid Center, and Food Court.

It’s always worth checking the individual warehouse page because not every Costco offers exactly the same departments and services.

Should You Visit a New Costco on Opening Day?

Costco opening days can attract a lot of attention.

You may have longtime Costco members checking out their new local warehouse, shoppers purchasing memberships for the first time, and Costco fans looking for products that might not be available at their regular store.

That can make opening day exciting, but it can also mean large crowds.

If you enjoy the treasure-hunt side of Costco shopping, visiting during the first few days can be fun because a new warehouse may have a particularly interesting selection of merchandise.

If you’d rather have a quieter Costco trip, waiting until the initial excitement settles down may be the better option.

Either way, checking Costco’s official warehouse page before making the drive is important.

More Costco Warehouses Could Still Be Added in 2026

These locations aren’t necessarily the complete list of Costco warehouses that will open during 2026.

Costco updates its location information throughout the year as new projects move closer to completion.

That means additional warehouses could be announced, while opening dates for already announced stores could continue to change.

For Costco shoppers, that makes the company’s New Locations page and individual warehouse pages the best places to check for the latest information.

Costco Continues to Expand in Growing Communities

One thing that stands out about several of the 2026 openings is where Costco is building.

Locations such as Mansfield, Celina, Otsego, Oconomowoc, and Lee’s Summit are in growing suburban markets where many families may already be Costco members but have to travel farther to reach a warehouse.

Adding stores in these communities can make Costco much more practical for regular shopping.

Instead of planning one huge Costco trip every few weeks, members with a warehouse nearby may be able to stop in more frequently for groceries, meat, produce, gasoline, or a few household essentials.

And for anyone whose existing Costco is packed every Saturday afternoon, another nearby warehouse could be very welcome news.

We’ll continue updating this list as Costco confirms additional warehouse openings and opening dates throughout 2026.
