Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, the beloved national ice cream brand known for its made-from-scratch dairy and vegan ice creams, is opening its second location in Connecticut. The new Van Leeuwen scoop shop will be located in Darien Commons in Darien, CT.
With its commitment to using choice ingredients and simple recipes, Van Leeuwen has quickly become a favorite among ice cream lovers nationwide.
The co-founders of Van Leeuwen, Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen, are Fairfield County natives and began their ice cream journey in Greenwich twenty years ago.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is opening in Darien, CT on Thursday, April 27. This new scoop shop comes after the successful opening of its first suburban location in Greenwich, CT in October 2022.
Van Leeuwen Darien Grand Opening Hours
The Van Leeuwen Darien scoop shop will open at 12 pm on Thursday, April 27, and will remain open until 10 pm. To celebrate the grand opening, Van Leeuwen Darien will offer $1 scoops from 3 pm to 5 pm on opening day.

Van Leeuwen began as a yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill, who were on a mission to make good ice cream from good ingredients that makes you feel good.
