My $513 Costco Haul- Here’s Everything I Bought and What It Cost

I went to Costco and somehow walked out with a $513.91 receipt.

Before you judge me, this was definitely a stock-up trip. I was trying to take advantage of the P&G rebate, so I bought a lot of household and personal care products, including a few things I technically still had at home.

My receipt also shows that I saved $110.40 with Costco’s instant savings. And that doesn’t even include the savings on the clearance items I found.

Of course, I didn’t just buy household products. I also came home with easy dinners, snacks, breakfast staples, drinks, vitamins and a few completely random Costco finds.

Here’s everything I bought during my $513 Costco haul and how much it cost.

Keep in mind that Costco prices and availability can vary by warehouse.

Beauty and Personal Care

A big portion of this Costco haul was beauty and personal care products. There were some really good deals, and I took advantage of them to stock up.

Bioré UV Aqua Rich Facial Moisturizer SPF 50 – $9.97

This was probably my most exciting find of the entire Costco trip.

The Bioré UV Aqua Rich facial moisturizer with SPF 50 is the moisturizer I use every morning, and I love it. When I saw it marked down to $9.97 on clearance, I panicked a little because I know Costco clearance products can disappear once they sell out.

Each package comes with three tubes, and I bought three packages, so I now have nine tubes.

At $9.97 per package, that works out to about $3.32 per tube. I definitely stocked up on this one.

Crest 3D Whitestrips – $29.99 After Discount

The Crest 3D Whitestrips were regularly $44.99 with $15 off, bringing the price down to $29.99.

This is my first time trying them, so I’ll have to see if I think they’re worth buying again.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm 10-Pack – $10.99 After Discount

The Burt’s Bees lip balm 10-pack was regularly $18.99 with $8 off, bringing it down to $10.99.

That works out to about $1.10 per lip balm.

I pretty much only buy lip balm at Costco because it’s so much cheaper, so when it goes on sale, I stock up.

Olay Advanced Repair Body Wash – $12.99 After Discount

The Olay Advanced Repair body wash was regularly $17.99 with $5 off, bringing it down to $12.99.

I bought two.

I like that these come with a pump, and since they were on sale, I stocked up. I’m keeping one at home and bringing the other one to my daughter at college. I think she’ll like the pump, too.

Pantene Shampoo – $9.99 After Discount

The Pantene shampoo was regularly $12.99 with $3 off, bringing the price down to $9.99.

This was another personal-care item I picked up while it was discounted.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream – $15.99 After Discount

The Cetaphil moisturizing cream was regularly $19.99 with $4 off, bringing it down to $15.99.

Always Infinity Flex Foam – $13.99 After Discount

The Always Infinity Flex Foam was regularly $17.99 with $4 off, so I paid $13.99.

This was another one of those personal care products that made sense to stock up on while Costco had it discounted.

Costco Prepared Foods and Easy Meals

I always like having a few easy meals in the refrigerator or freezer for days when I don’t have time—or simply don’t feel like—cooking from scratch.

Sabatino’s Chicken Piccata – $10.49 After Discount

Sabatino’s Chicken Piccata has become a new favorite in our house.

It was regularly $13.99 with $3.50 off, bringing the price down to $10.49.

I bought four packages.

We already know we like it, so this was one of those Costco sales where I felt comfortable stocking up. It makes an easy dinner, especially with a vegetable on the side.

Pulmuone Teriyaki Stir-Fry Udon – $5.99 After Discount

The Pulmuone Teriyaki Stir-Fry Udon was regularly $8.69 with $2.70 off, bringing it down to $5.99.

This was my first time buying it.

It’s an easy meal that you can prepare quickly on the stovetop, which is exactly the type of Costco food I like having around for a fast lunch or dinner.

Kirkland Signature Tomato Basil Soup – $9.99

The Kirkland Signature Tomato Basil Soup was $9.99.

This is another convenient meal to have in the refrigerator. I especially like tomato soup with grilled cheese when I want something quick and comforting.

Broccoli – $7.99

I also bought broccoli for $7.99.

It’s an easy side dish for the chicken piccata, and I can also add it to the teriyaki udon to turn it into a more complete meal.

Snacks, Breakfast Foods and Pantry Staples

Some of these are things we buy over and over again at Costco.

LesserEvil Organic Cheddar Space Balls – $7.79

The LesserEvil Organic Cheddar Space Balls were $7.79 each, and I bought two bags.

My son and I are completely addicted to these.

This is one of those Costco products I buy even when it isn’t on sale because we like it that much.

Nature’s Garden Organic Trail Mix Snack Packs – $13.89

The Nature’s Garden Organic Trail Mix Snack Packs were $13.89.

I bought these for my daughter at college. The individual packages make them easy to keep in a dorm room or throw into a bag for class.

Purely Elizabeth Granola – $10.99

The Purely Elizabeth granola was $10.99.

This is something I eat almost every day, so when I’m running low, it goes right back into my Costco cart.

Mayorga Organic Chia Seeds – $8.89

I bought a three-pound bag of Mayorga organic chia seeds for $8.89.

Chia seeds are one of those pantry staples that make sense for me to buy in a larger Costco-size package.

Kirkland Organic Free-Range Eggs – $8.29

The two dozens Kirkland organic free-range eggs were $8.29.

I never want to run out of eggs, so I always pick up a tray every time I’m at Costco.

Eggs are always useful to have around, especially for quick breakfasts and lunches.

Lactaid Milk – $5.59

I also bought Lactaid milk for $5.59.

Bananas – $1.99

The bananas were $1.99.

This might be one of the least exciting things in a $513 Costco haul, but they’re an inexpensive staple that regularly ends up in my cart.

Table Salt – $1.79

I also needed table salt, which was just $1.79.

Drinks

I picked up two different drinks during this Costco trip, and both were on sale.

LaCroix Dazzling Delicious Variety Pack – $8.69 After Discount

The LaCroix variety pack was regularly $10.99 with $2.30 off, bringing it down to $8.69.

Sanpellegrino Crafted Soda Italiana Variety Pack – $14.99 After Discount

The 24-count Sanpellegrino Crafted Soda Italiana variety pack was regularly $22.49 with $7.50 off.

That brought the price down to $14.99 for 24 cans.

That was a pretty substantial discount. I’ve been wanting to try this so now that it’s on sale, I decided to buy a case.

Vitamins and Supplements

I tend to wait for Costco vitamins and supplements to go on sale before stocking up, and several were discounted during this trip.

Trunature Ginkgo Biloba – $11.99 After Discount

The 340-count Trunature Ginkgo Biloba was regularly $14.99 with $3 off, bringing it down to $11.99.

Nature Made Fish Oil – $15.99 After Discount

The 300-count Nature Made Fish Oil was regularly $19.99 with $4 off, bringing the price down to $15.99.

Centrum Silver – $16.49 After Discount

I got Centrum Silver for my dad because it was on sale. The regular price was $20.99 with $4.50 off, so I paid $16.49.

Household Products

This is where chasing the P&G rebate really started to add to my Costco total.

Some of these were things I needed, while others were things I already had at home but bought anyway because of the rebate.

Bounce Dryer Sheets – $8.99 After Discount

The 400-count boxes of Bounce dryer sheets were regularly $11.49 with $2.50 off, bringing them down to $8.99 each.

I bought two boxes.

I’m keeping one box at home and bringing the other one to my daughter at college.

Gain Oxi Liquid Laundry Detergent – $15.99 After Discount

The Gain Oxi liquid laundry detergent was regularly $19.99 with $4 off, bringing the price down to $15.99.

I bought two.

This was definitely a stock-up purchase.

Cascade Platinum Plus Dishwasher Pods – $20.49 After Discount

The Cascade Platinum Plus dishwasher pods were regularly $25.49 with $5 off.

I paid $20.49.

Dawn Platinum Dishwashing Liquid – $9.59 After Discount

The Dawn Platinum dishwashing liquid was regularly $11.99 with $2.40 off, bringing the price down to $9.59.

Charmin Toilet Paper – $29.99

The Charmin toilet paper was $29.99 and wasn’t on sale.

But toilet paper is something we always need, and since I was trying to qualify for the P&G rebate anyway, I bought it.

A Few Random Costco Finds

No Costco haul would be complete without a few things that don’t really fit into any other category.

Trek ’N Clean Microfiber Mat – $9.97

I found the Trek ’N Clean microfiber mat marked down to $9.u97 on clearance.

I thought this would be useful by the entryway for wet or muddy shoes, especially going into fall and winter.

Room Service Pajamas – $13.99 After Discount

The Room Service pajama sets were regularly $17.99 with $4 off, bringing them down to $13.99 each.

I bought two sets.

This is actually a repeat purchase for me. I bought these pajamas last year and think they’re super soft, so I bought another pair for myself and one for my mom.

Was My $513 Costco Haul Worth It?

My final Costco total was $513.91.

My subtotal before tax was $488.31, and according to my receipt, I saved $110.40 from Costco’s instant discounts.

And the actual savings were a little higher than that because the $110.40 doesn’t include the additional markdowns on the clearance products.

This definitely wasn’t a typical weekly grocery trip. It was a major stock-up haul.

I was chasing the P&G rebate, stocked up on household and personal-care products while they were on sale, panic-bought nine bottles of my favorite Bioré moisturizer when I found it on clearance, and bought multiples of foods we already know we like.

There were also plenty of everyday Costco purchases mixed in, from eggs and bananas to broccoli, granola and easy dinners.

And that’s how I somehow ended up spending $513.91 at Costco.
