Costco is Opening 3 New U.S. Warehouses in October

Costco is continuing its expansion, with three new U.S. warehouses scheduled to open in October 2026.

According to Costco’s official list of upcoming locations, new warehouses are coming to Lee’s Summit, Missouri; The Colony, Texas; and Amherst, New York.

For Costco shoppers in these areas, the wait is almost over. Here’s what Costco has confirmed so far.

Lee’s Summit, Missouri

Costco will open its new Lee’s Summit, Missouri warehouse on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Costco says the new warehouse will include several popular member services, including a gas station, pharmacy, optical department, hearing aid center and tire service center.

Costco is also offering a special promotion for shoppers who become members ahead of the opening. Eligible new Executive Members can receive a $40 Digital Costco Shop Card, while eligible Gold Star Members can receive a $20 Digital Costco Shop Card. According to Costco, shoppers must join before November 1, 2026, to qualify for the offer.

The Colony, Texas

Texas is also getting another Costco warehouse this fall.

Costco currently lists a new location in The Colony, Texas, as opening in October 2026.

An exact opening date has not yet been posted on Costco’s official Coming Soon page.

With Costco continuing to add warehouses across Texas, the new location will give shoppers in The Colony and surrounding communities another option for buying Costco groceries, household products and Kirkland Signature favorites.

Amherst, New York

Costco is also preparing to open a new warehouse in Amherst, New York.

The company currently lists the Amherst warehouse for an October 2026 opening.

Costco has not yet announced a specific opening date on its Coming Soon page, so shoppers hoping to visit during opening week will want to keep an eye on Costco as October gets closer.
