Birthday Party for the Artistic Child

MADE Art Studio– 118 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY

MADE Art Studio offers a variety of parties from paint your own pottery to make your own slime to movie nights.  Their parties are drop-off parties and instructors help the kids with their projects. Parties are assigned to the private space at the back of the studio. You bring your own pizza and cake but you need to be aware that MADE Art Studio is a nut-free venue so don’t bring food products with nuts. At the end of the party, kids take home their artwork which can double as the party favor. Depending on the project, you may end up having to come back to pick up the artwork since it may not be ready by the end of the party (ex: ceramics). Keep this in mind since it will add an extra step to your party planning.

Pinot Palette –108 Mamaroneck Avenue, Mamaroneck, NY at 914-835-1045

It is amazing the type of art that is produced at Pinot Palette’s paint parties.  The birthday child pre-selects an age-appropriate painting that the entire party works on.  Instructors will guide the kids showing them how to paint in an easy-to-follow step-by-step process.  Then pizza and cake are served in the party room.  Kids get to take home their painting which can double as the party favor.  It’s a very easy party to plan for parents and fun for kids.

Private Indoor Ice Skating Birthday Party in Westchester

Playland Ice Casino– 100 Playland Parkway, Rye, NY at (914) 481-5941

The thing about ice skating birthday parties in Westchester is that they are usually held during public ice skating sessions. If you have younger kids or children new to skating, hosting a drop-off ice skating birthday party during public ice skating sessions can be nerve-wracking. What we like about Playland Ice Casino is you have the rink all to yourself for birthday parties. There are 2 rinks available for private parties. Children’s Rink measures 80’x20′ which is a very small rink but ideal for younger children. The Studio Rink is great for older kids or bigger parties. You can also add on-ice instructors to help new skaters and if you want to have a more structured ice skating session. Their packages are all-inclusive and include pizza and beverages.

BounceU– 150 Clearbrook Road, Elmsford, NY at 914-874-5200

If you are looking for an indoor party place that can burn off a lot of energy, then Bounce U is a great option. Kids are never bored at BounceU parties.  The bounce rooms are filled with giant inflatable slides and giant bouncy castles.  There is a dedicated party room for cake and pizza.  The best part is everything is all-inclusive even the cake and party favors are included.  Plus it’s a great option if your child or your guests have a nut allergy because BounceU is a nut-free venue. BounceU is great for an easy, all-inclusive party.

Kids U– 14 Waterfront Place, Port Chester, NY at 914-939-3520

Kids U is a great all-inclusive indoor birthday party place near Rye. We love that it is located near Costco and Whole Foods so parents can run errands after dropping off their children at the party. Plus there is no waiting around for the party to start at Kids U, when kids are dropped off, they immediately have something to do. They start playing at the PlayQuad which is a large multi-level jungle gym that kids love.  Rest assured, there is a little toddler area for the younger siblings.  After the PlayQuad, kids will move to the Gym where the staff will guide the kids through different age-appropriate activities.  The party ends in the party room for pizza and cake.  This is a quick and easy all-inclusive party for parents. Note to parents with older children, kids may get bored at party activities at Kids U, we think it is ideal for kids younger than 7 years old.

Rockin’ Jump333 North Bedford Road, Mt. Kisco, NY at 914-743-5730

Rockin’ Jump is a great indoor birthday party venue in Westchester. It is ideal for kids who need to burn off energy. It’s a big trampoline park with several arenas and even a climbing wall. You will get a private party room for your group however, the trampoline park is open to the public so just keep that in mind when you are planning your party. It’s probably ideal for older kids since you don’t want younger children jumping with big kids. They do have staff stationed throughout the arena to ensure safety. It’s common to find birthday party venues in Westchester that are showing their age, the good thing about Rockin’ Jump in Mt. Kisco is it is a fairly new facility.

Birthday Party for Older Children

Bowlmor Lane– 47 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY at (914)-948-2677

If you have older kids, bowling parties can be a good indoor birthday party option near Rye. Bowling parties are better for older kids (7 years old and up) because of the lack of a supervised structure.  The set-up is more like a grown-up party where the kids eat and play bowling at the same time.  They help themselves to food and drinks at the buffet table. There is staff assigned to your party but he/she is really in charge of making sure the buffet is filled and tables are clear of dirty plates and glasses. In addition to bowling, you can add-on an arcade and laser tag to your party.  Kids usually have a blast at Bowlmor Lane parties.

Sportime USA– 2 Lawrence Street, Ardsley NY at (914)-592-2111

Sportime USA is a great indoor birthday party venue for older kids. Kids love going to this mini-amusement park in Westchester. There are rides like bumper cars and laser tag plus a lot of arcade games. For thrill-seekers, they will like Super Fly. You will be assigned to a private party room and pizza or hotdog and cake are included in your party package. The only thing to know is the rides and arcades are also open to the public so you should plan for extra help to keep an eye on the kids when the birthday program is over especially if you are hosting a drop-off party.
