Private Indoor Ice Skating Birthday Party in Westchester
Playland Ice Casino– 100 Playland Parkway, Rye, NY at (914) 481-5941
The thing about ice skating birthday parties in Westchester is that they are usually held during public ice skating sessions. If you have younger kids or children new to skating, hosting a drop-off ice skating birthday party during public ice skating sessions can be nerve-wracking. What we like about Playland Ice Casino is you have the rink all to yourself for birthday parties. There are 2 rinks available for private parties. Children’s Rink measures 80’x20′ which is a very small rink but ideal for younger children. The Studio Rink is great for older kids or bigger parties. You can also add on-ice instructors to help new skaters and if you want to have a more structured ice skating session. Their packages are all-inclusive and include pizza and beverages.

Kids U is a great all-inclusive indoor birthday party place near Rye. We love that it is located near Costco and Whole Foods so parents can run errands after dropping off their children at the party. Plus there is no waiting around for the party to start at Kids U, when kids are dropped off, they immediately have something to do. They start playing at the PlayQuad which is a large multi-level jungle gym that kids love. Rest assured, there is a little toddler area for the younger siblings. After the PlayQuad, kids will move to the Gym where the staff will guide the kids through different age-appropriate activities. The party ends in the party room for pizza and cake. This is a quick and easy all-inclusive party for parents. Note to parents with older children, kids may get bored at party activities at Kids U, we think it is ideal for kids younger than 7 years old.

It’s common to find birthday party venues in Westchester that are showing their age, the good thing about Rockin’ Jump in Mt. Kisco is it is a fairly new facility.

Birthday Party for Older Children
Bowlmor Lane– 47 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY at (914)-948-2677
If you have older kids, bowling parties can be a good indoor birthday party option near Rye. Bowling parties are better for older kids (7 years old and up) because of the lack of a supervised structure. The set-up is more like a grown-up party where the kids eat and play bowling at the same time. They help themselves to food and drinks at the buffet table. There is staff assigned to your party but he/she is really in charge of making sure the buffet is filled and tables are clear of dirty plates and glasses. In addition to bowling, you can add-on an arcade and laser tag to your party. Kids usually have a blast at Bowlmor Lane parties.
