Cruise lines nowadays charge a room service fee in their efforts to cut costs. However, some breakfast items can still be delivered to your room for free.
Continental Breakfast
Cruise lines such as Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and MSC charge a room service fee for hot breakfast items. However, continental breakfast is complimentary.
Pastries
Pastries are free continental food items from room service. You can order a basket of assorted pastries, such as muffins, pain au chocolat, croissants, and danishes. You can also ask for jams and butter for your pastry.
Coffee
Coffee is free from room service. Order regular or decaf coffee. They will deliver a pot of hot coffee to your cabin. Do know that specialty coffees such as americano and cappuccino are not included and will incur an extra charge.
