Costco Just Added Uber Eats and DoorDash Delivery-Here’s What You Should Know

You can now order Costco through both Uber Eats and DoorDash, making it easier to get groceries, household essentials and Costco favorites delivered without making a trip to the warehouse.

If you love Costco but could do without the crowded parking lot, long checkout lines or hauling a cart full of bulk groceries home, these new delivery options could make your Costco run a lot more convenient.

But before you start ordering your Costco haul from your phone, there are a few things you should know about membership requirements, pricing and delivery fees.

Here’s how Costco delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash works—and what you should check before placing your order.

You Can Now Order Costco Through DoorDash

Costco and DoorDash announced a new nationwide U.S. partnership on September 17, 2026.

You can now shop Costco through the DoorDash app and have your order delivered the same day.

You’ll find thousands of Costco products available to order, including groceries, fresh foods, pantry staples, household supplies, seasonal items, electronics and Kirkland Signature products.

If you already use DoorDash for restaurant delivery or other shopping, this gives you another way to order from Costco without using a separate delivery service.

You’ll Need a Costco Membership to Order Through DoorDash

You still need an active Costco membership to shop Costco through DoorDash.

When you place an order, you can link your Costco membership to your DoorDash account.

You’ll want to make sure you do that before checking out.

Unlike Instacart, you can’t order Costco through DoorDash without a membership. You’ll need to link an active Costco membership to your DoorDash account before completing your order. If you’re not already a member, DoorDash will direct you to Costco.com to sign up first. 

You Can Also Order Costco Through Uber Eats

Costco delivery through Uber Eats isn’t completely new, but it just became available to a lot more shoppers.

Costco and Uber announced on September 16, 2026 that Costco delivery through Uber Eats had expanded to nearly 600 warehouses in 47 states.

Previously, the service was available in far fewer states.

Now, depending on where you live, you can use Uber Eats to order groceries, household essentials and other Costco products directly from a nearby warehouse.

You may also have the option to get your order delivered on demand or schedule it for later.

Do You Need a Costco Membership to Order Through Uber Eats?

Costco’s Uber Eats delivery service is designed for Costco members. When you check out, you can add your Costco membership account to your Uber Eats order.

If you’re not already a Costco member, Uber Eats is also offering the option to purchase a Costco membership directly through the app. 

For a limited time, new members who sign up this way can get 30% off their first eligible Costco order.

So unlike simply shopping Costco as a nonmember, you’ll need to have—or purchase—a Costco membership to take advantage of the new Uber Eats Costco delivery service.

You Can Get a Discount on Uber One

If you’re a Costco member and you already use Uber frequently, there’s another perk worth knowing about.

Eligible Costco members can get 50% off an annual Uber One membership for the first year, followed by a 20% discount in future years.

Uber One can give you benefits such as reduced fees or $0 delivery fees on qualifying orders, although minimum purchase requirements and other charges can still apply.

If you already use Uber Eats regularly, this could make Costco delivery more appealing.

But if you rarely use Uber Eats, I wouldn’t sign up for another membership just because Costco is available.

You’ll want to look at how often you actually use the service before deciding whether it’s worth paying for.

You Can Also Buy Discounted Uber Gift Cards at Costco

There’s another way you may be able to save when using Uber Eats.

Costco sells Uber and Uber Eats gift cards at a discount.

At the time of writing, Costco was selling $100 in Uber and Uber Eats eGift cards for $79.99.

So if you already use Uber regularly, you may be able to buy the discounted gift cards first and then use them toward eligible Uber Eats purchases.

Just remember that Costco gift card deals, prices and purchase limits can change.

You Still Have Costco Same-Day Through Instacart

The arrival of DoorDash and the expansion of Uber Eats don’t mean Costco’s other delivery options are disappearing.

You can still use Costco Same-Day, which is powered by Instacart.

That means you may now have several different ways to get a Costco order delivered, depending on where you live.

Your options may include:

• Costco Same-Day through Instacart
• DoorDash
• Uber Eats

Having more choices is useful because the cheapest option may not always be the same.

One service might have a promotion.

Another might be cheaper because you already have DashPass or Uber One.

And sometimes the difference may simply come down to delivery fees or item pricing.

You May Pay More Than You Would in the Warehouse

This is probably the most important thing to keep in mind before you place a Costco delivery order.

Don’t assume the prices you see on DoorDash or Uber Eats will be exactly the same as the prices you see inside the warehouse.

Delivery services can have different item prices, delivery fees and service charges.

You’ll also probably want to factor in a tip for your driver.

A small markup may not seem like much if you’re ordering only a few things.

But Costco orders can get expensive quickly.

If you’re paying a little more on 10, 15 or 20 bulk-size items, the difference can add up.

Then add delivery fees, service fees and a tip, and your Costco haul could cost noticeably more than if you had gone to the warehouse yourself.

Compare the Final Price Before You Order

If you have more than one Costco delivery option available, don’t just compare the price of one product.

Instead, add a few of the same items to your cart on each service and compare the total right before checkout.

The cheapest option could change from one order to the next.

You may already have DashPass. You may have Uber One. Or one of the apps may be running a promotion that makes it cheaper that day.

I’d let the final checkout total decide which service you use.

Is Ordering Costco Through Uber Eats or DoorDash Worth It?

That really depends on how much you value the convenience.

If your main reason for shopping at Costco is saving money, you’ll probably want to compare your delivery total carefully before ordering.

You could end up paying more than you would by shopping in the warehouse yourself.

But there are definitely situations where the extra cost could be worth it.

Maybe you’re sick and don’t want to leave the house.

Maybe you’re home with young kids.

Maybe you need a rotisserie chicken, milk and a few things for dinner but don’t want to spend an hour making a Costco run.

Or maybe it’s Saturday afternoon and the Costco parking lot is the last place you want to be.

In those situations, paying a little more to have someone else do the Costco run could be completely worth it.
