Known for its commitment to sustainable seafood, Seamore’s is a restaurant group originally based in New York City, with existing locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Arlington, VA.
I had the pleasure of attending a press preview of Seamore’s Darien, and below is my review of the newest restaurant in Darien!
Check out the video from the press preview at Seamore’s Darien.
“We are thrilled to expand into Connecticut and bring the highest quality seafood to Darien,” said Seamore’s owner Jay Wainwright. “Whether you’re looking to have a fun night out or a family meal, we’ve got something for everyone.”

What’s on the Menu at Seamore’s Darien?
Seamore’s Darien is a seafood restaurant that offers a wide variety of fish and seafood dishes and appetizers. They also have options for non-seafood eaters, including chicken and burger dishes.
For dinner, you have a range of choices, from the Reel Deal, where you can select a fish from the Daily Landings wall and pair it with seasonally changing vegetable side dishes and your choice of sauce, to classics like Fish & Chips and Lobster Mac & Cheese.
What impressed me about Seamore’s is their commitment to using fresh ingredients.
They even have a “Daily Landings” wall where you can see which fish is fresh on any given day.
Seamore’s menu features Connecticut clams, oysters, and fish, as well as locally sourced fish from New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
There is also an expansive drinks menu at Seamore’s Darien with featuring craft cocktails such as Seamore’s signature cucumber martini, a watermelon basil spritz, Pineapple Milano and more.
What to Order at Seamore’s Darien?
I recommend ordering the Fish and Chips, Shrimp Tacos, and Kale Avocado Salad at Seamore’s Darien.
During a recent press preview, I had the opportunity to sample a variety of appetizers and entrees, and the Fish and Chips, Shrimp Tacos, and Kale Avocado Salad stood out as my favorites.
For appetizers, I started off with half a dozen Copps Island Oysters, the Kale Avocado Salad, and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice.
For the main course, I had the Fish and Chip and the Reel Deel, which featured Black Sea Bass with spaetzle and chimichurri sauce. I also tried both the seared fish tacos and shrimp tacos.
The Fish and Chips was one of my favorite dishes at Seamore’s. They used Hake fish, which was perfectly fried to achieve a crispy outer texture while maintaining a fresh and tasty interior. The accompanying thinly cut fries were also delicious.
If you’re a fan of a little spiciness, I recommend the Shrimp Tacos. Grilled shrimp combined with roasted tomatillo salsa verde, avocado, and cabbage slaw, all wrapped in a corn tortilla, it had a subtle spicy kick that I liked.
For a refreshing salad, the Kale Avocado Salad is a great choice. The honey-apple vinaigrette was quite addictive.
I enjoyed the Copps Island Oysters. It was fresh oysters paired perfectly with the peppercorn mignonette and cocktail sauce.
As an appetizer, the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was excellent- the tuna was very fresh.
If you want a healthy dinner, The Reel Deel is a fantastic choice at Seamore’s. You select a side, a fish, and a sauce. I chose the Black Sea Bass with a side of spaetzle and chimichurri sauce, it’s a light and fresh combination.
Seamore’s also has an extensive drinks menu. I can’t stop thinking about the Punch Milano, which was made using fresh caramelized pineapple. It’s refreshingly good!
Is there a Kid’s Menu at Seamore’s Darien?
Seamore’s Darien has a special “For the Guppies” Kid’s Menu which includes smaller, more kid-friendly versions of the adult menu. Seamore’s is a family friendly restaurant- trust me, even picky eaters will find something to eat (they have chicken and burgers too if your kids don’t like seafood!)
