Top 5 Date Night Spots In and Around Greenwich, CT

Are you tired of going to the same place for Date Night? We asked Helen Phillips, twenty-something lifestyle/fashion blogger in Greenwich, CT to share her Top 5 Date Night spots in and around Greenwich, CT.  She also shows us how she’d dress for Date Night.

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite date night spots.  For the record, these spots are not just for millennials!  I’m by no means the average millennial, I’ve never even ordered delivery using UberEats!  For me, a great restaurant has an interesting menu, really great food (that’s kind of a no-brainer though), exceptional service, and a fun atmosphere!

Date nights for me almost always involve going out to dinner. I mean, I think that’s just kind of how it is in the suburbs, am I right?  Living in Greenwich, right off of Greenwich Avenue I have the luxury of being able to walk to so many restaurants, which is pretty cool!  It gives me that city feel, and I of course love to not have to worry about driving home.  For a cocktail or a glass of wine, I’d hop on over to Greenwich Avenue, but for a whole meal I tend to venture a little further out for a change of scenery and to find something really special.

L’Escale- Greenwich, CT when you want to get dressed up:

L’escale, which is part of The Delmar located right off I-95, is one of my all-time favorite places to eat in the Greenwich area!  Sure you don’t have to get dressed up to eat there, but I personally enjoy doing so and I think the atmosphere definitely lends itself towards an elevated evening.  My personal preference is to arrive a little early to have a drink at the bar before your meal.

Perfect for L’escale! I always have a fun time getting more dressed up than usual to eat there!

Lulu- Greenwich, CT when you want to have elevated Chinese food in a homey atmosphere:

LuLu, which just opened right off of Greenwich Avenue is a really fun little restaurant! They have communal high-top tables along with a good amount of bar seating. The last time I went there we sat at the bar and had a really nice time!

Helen Phillips Mill Street
I would wear something like this to Mill Street or LuLu. It’s flirty and fun and perfect for a date night when you’re going somewhere with a great bar scene and nice atmosphere!

Bar Taco-Port Chester, NY or Westport, CT when you want a really fun night and great tacos:

Bar Taco, which has two nearby locations, one in Port Chester, NY and one in Westport, CT is a fan favorite over here! Okay, that’s an understatement, I’m obsessed with Bar Taco! I just love how much fun it is when you go there. They almost always have a packed bar and you get to order lots of different bites to share!

Farmer’s Table- New Canaan, CT when you want a cozy, hearty, farm-to-table meal:

Farmer’s Table, in New Canaan, CT is awesome! My boyfriend loved our meal here, there’s just so many options on the menu, it kind of pleases everyone! We also love the fact that it’s farm-to-table, of course a bonus! You walk inside to a warm, cozy space with a really inviting ambience and great service.

I’d wear something casual like this to Bar Taco or Farmer’s Table. White jeans with a statement bootie and a sweater is a look I love to play around with in the fall!

Rowayton Seafood- Rowayton, CT when you want a lot of seafood in a romantic location:

Rowayton Seafood, located right on the water in Rowayton, CT is amazing! I’ve been going there for years, but especially love going there for the great atmosphere and consistently great seafood and service. After dinner I like to walk around the surrounding streets, it’s just so peaceful and the houses are really stunning in that area. There’s also a great ice cream shop right next door, so since you’ll inevitably be too stuffed for dessert at the restaurant, take a little walk and then you can get ice cream before your drive home!
