To determine where homes are selling quickly, we have analyzed the most up-to-date home sales data in all Florida metropolitan areas and compared it year-over-year. We examined the January 2023 versus January 2024 home sales data.

  • Number of Days to Sell a House: 39

Houses in Gainesville sell within an average of 39 days. Compared to last year, houses are selling 14 days faster.

2. Tampa

  • Number of Days to Sell a House: 42

Homes in Tampa are selling in 42 days. This is 3 days slower compared to the previous year.

3. Arcadia

  • Number of Days to Sell a House: 44

Arcadia homes typically sell in 44 days. This is significantly improved from last year, with houses selling 49 days faster.

4. Homosassa Springs

  • Number of Days to Sell a House: 45

Homes in Homosassa Springs typically sell within 45 days. This is 12 days slower compared to last year.

5. Orlando

  • Number of Days to Sell a House: 45

Orlando’s housing market sees houses being sold within an average of 45 days, maintaining the same pace as last year.

Naples sees houses being sold within an average of 53 days. Compared to the previous year, houses are selling 15 days slower.

Places in Florida That Have Seen Significant Improvement in Home Sales Compared to Last Year

Arcadia has taken the lead as homes are selling faster than last year. In 2023, it took up to 93 days to sell a house in Arcadia, but this year, it has taken only 44 days, which is a significant improvement. 

Gainesville has also witnessed a substantial improvement, with homes selling 14 days faster compared to last year. The real estate market in Clewiston has also shown a drastic improvement, with homes selling 15 days faster than last year.
