27 New and Returning Costco Foods to Look for Right Now

Costco has been rolling out a lot of new foods lately, and there are plenty of interesting finds across the freezer, bakery, refrigerated section and deli.

Some of the newest Costco foods are designed for convenience, including ready-to-heat dinners, grab-and-go breakfasts and individually portioned snacks. There are also several fun desserts, including Dubai chocolate-inspired ice cream sandwiches and Korean-style soft cheesecakes.

If you like seasonal foods, Costco is also bringing in several Oktoberfest-inspired items, including schnitzel, sauerbraten, pretzel bites and Bavarian-style mac and cheese. On top of that, a few popular Costco deli meals are back for the season.

As always, Costco prices and availability can vary by warehouse. Some products may also be regional or available for a limited time.

Here are 25 new and returning Costco foods to look for on your next Costco trip.

New Costco Frozen Foods

There are several interesting new frozen foods right now, ranging from breakfast sandwiches to seafood and desserts.

Mason Dixie Chicken Biscuits

Mason Dixie Chicken Biscuits are basically Costco’s version of the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit.

Each sandwich has crispy seasoned chicken breast served on a buttermilk biscuit. The box is $15.79 for eight sandwiches, which works out to just $1.97 per sandwich.

That’s less than half the price of buying a Chicken Biscuit at Chick-fil-A.

For families with busy mornings, this could be one of the more useful Costco freezer finds. Since the sandwiches are individually portioned, you don’t have to cook the entire box at once.

They could also work for teenagers who want a quick breakfast before school or anyone who needs something easy before heading out the door.

Smart Harvest Fru+Tein Protein Dark Chocolate Bananas

Smart Harvest Fru+Tein Protein Dark Chocolate Bananas are $12.99 for a 20-ounce bag. They’re frozen banana bites covered in protein dark chocolate, and you get 12 grams of protein.

Chocolate-covered frozen bananas are already one of those desserts that feels a little lighter than many traditional ice cream treats, so adding protein makes this an interesting Costco find.

I also like that they’re bite-size. You can have a few pieces instead of committing to a full ice cream bar or dessert. These could work as an after-dinner treat, afternoon snack or something to keep in the freezer when you want chocolate.

Mini Dubai Chocolate Style Ice Cream Sandwiches

The Dubai chocolate trend has officially made its way into the Costco freezer. Mini Dubai Chocolate Style Ice Cream Sandwiches are $15.99 for 15 mini ice cream sandwiches.

They have chocolate on the outside and a pistachio ice cream filling, giving them the chocolate-pistachio combination that has become so popular. At a little over $1 each, the mini size could also make these easier to serve for parties or family dessert nights.

The smaller portion may be especially appealing if you like trying Costco’s more indulgent desserts but don’t necessarily want a giant serving.

Brazi Bites Brazilian Cheese Bread

Brazi Bites Brazilian Cheese Bread is $14.99 for a bag with 62 yummy cheese bread. These are small, chewy cheese breads that are easy to heat up whenever you need them. My kids love them.

They work as an appetizer, snack or side dish and pair well with soups, salads and grilled meats. With 62 pieces in the bag, this is also the kind of Costco item that can be useful when you have last minute guests.

Inland Market Buttery Steakhouse Salmon

Inland Market Buttery Steakhouse Salmon is $20.99 for six seasoned Atlantic salmon portions. This is one of those Costco items that can make weeknight dinner much easier because the salmon is already seasoned and portioned.

Instead of buying a large salmon filet and having to prepare the entire thing, you can cook only the number of portions you need. Add rice, potatoes or vegetables and you have a relatively simple dinner without much prep.

For families trying to keep a few emergency dinners in the freezer, this is the kind of item that could come in handy.

New Costco Bakery Finds

The Costco bakery is always dangerous for me because it’s hard to walk past the croissants, cookies and cakes without putting something in the cart.

There are a couple of newer croissant options worth looking for right now.

Mini Pain au Chocolat Croissants

Costco’s Pain au Chocolat or Mini Chocolate Croissants are $9.99 per container. These are smaller than a traditional full-size croissant, which makes them convenient for breakfast, brunch or an afternoon snack.

I also like the mini size for entertaining because you can put them out as part of a breakfast or brunch spread without having to cut larger pastries in half. They are easy grab-and-go breakfast for busy mornings.

Twice Baked Cinnamon Filled Croissants

Twice Baked Cinnamon Filled Croissants are $9.99 for six. These are flaky croissants filled with cinnamon, so they’re definitely on the more indulgent side.

At about $1.67 per croissant, they’re still much less expensive than buying specialty pastries individually at many bakeries or coffee shops.

These are amazing warmed slightly before serving. If you like cinnamon rolls and croissants, this basically gives you a combination of the two.

New Costco Desserts and Sweet Treats

Costco is also adding several interesting desserts and snacks. Some are traditional treats, while others are geared toward shoppers looking for gluten-free options or individually packaged desserts.

Samlip Soft Cheesecakes

Samlip Soft Cheesecakes are $9.49 for a 24.6-ounce box. These are Korean-style soft cheesecakes, and one of the things I like most about them is that they’re individually packaged.

That makes them much easier to portion than buying an entire Costco cheesecake. You can keep the individual packages on hand for dessert, pack one in a lunch or serve them when you want something sweet without cutting into a giant cake.

For smaller households, individually wrapped Costco desserts can also help reduce food waste.

Siete Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Siete Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are another Costco find for shoppers looking for a gluten-free treat. They’re made with almond flour and coconut oil.

Costco has been carrying more gluten-free and alternative-ingredient snacks over the years, which is helpful for families who have different dietary needs. These could be a good option to keep in the pantry for lunches or snacks.

New Costco Refrigerated Foods

Costco’s refrigerated section has been getting especially interesting.

This is where you’ll find a lot of the foods that can save time during the week, including premade meals, individual bowls, breakfast foods and protein-packed snacks.

Hannah’s Three Cheese Za’atar Naan Pizza

Hannah’s Three Cheese Za’atar Naan Pizza is $9.99 for two pies. This is an easy meal to keep in the refrigerator for a quick lunch or dinner.

Za’atar adds a savory Middle Eastern-inspired flavor, while the cheese makes it familiar enough for people who already like traditional pizza.

At about $5 per pizza, it’s a less expensive alternative to ordering takeout for lunch. Pair it with a salad and you have a very easy meal.

Chef Hak’s Cilantro Lime Chicken Power Bowls

Chef Hak’s Cilantro Lime Chicken Power Bowls are $12.89 for three 12-ounce bowls. That works out to about $4.30 per bowl.

These are especially convenient because they’re already individually portioned. You can bring one to work, keep one for a quick lunch at home or use them on days when you don’t want to cook.

For anyone who regularly buys lunch out, having a few ready-to-heat bowls in the refrigerator could potentially save money.

Honey Smoked Salmon Stackers

Honey Smoked Salmon Stackers are $11.99 for four 3-ounce packs. That works out to about $3 per pack.

Each kit comes with smoked salmon, lemon chive spread and rice crackers, so everything you need for a quick snack is already included.

I like that these are individually packaged because they’re easy to grab for lunch, bring to work or keep on hand for a protein-packed snack. They’re also gluten-free.

Belgian Boys Mini Waffles

Belgian Boys Mini Waffles are $9.79. They’re ready in about 30 seconds, making them an easy grab-and-go breakfast.

These could be especially useful for school mornings when everyone is rushing out the door. You could eat them plain or add fruit, yogurt, peanut butter or syrup depending on how much time you have.

New Costco Dips, Sauces and Sides

Costco has several new or interesting refrigerated extras that can help turn basic meals into something more flavorful.

Sometimes these smaller finds are actually more useful than the giant prepared meals because you can use them in several different ways.

Good Foods Chimichurri

Good Foods Chimichurri is $9.49 for a two-pack. I love chimichurri and can’t wait to try this.

Chimichurri is incredibly versatile. I like using it on grilled steak, chicken, vegetables and potatoes. You can also spoon it over fish or use it as a quick sauce for grain bowls.

Little Sesame Hummus Flavor Pack

Little Sesame Hummus Flavor Pack is $8.99 and comes with three flavors: Smooth Classic, Herby Jalapeño and Golden Garlic. I like this because you get some variety without having to buy three full-size containers of hummus.

That is one of my biggest issues with Costco sometimes. I like trying different foods, but I don’t necessarily want several pounds of one flavor. The smaller containers make this three-pack more manageable.

You can serve the hummus with vegetables, crackers or pita, or spread it on sandwiches and wraps.

Brisket Con Queso Dip

Brisket Con Queso Dip is $10.99 for a 20-ounce container. It combines brisket and queso into one ready-to-heat dip. Just warm it up and serve it with tortilla chips for an easy appetizer.

This is the kind of Costco food that would be especially convenient for football season, parties or casual get-togethers when you don’t want to make an appetizer from scratch. You could also use the queso on nachos, baked potatoes or tacos.

Nathan’s Sweet and Spicy Pickles

Nathan’s Sweet and Spicy Pickles are $5.69 for a 32-ounce container. They’re sweet and spicy kosher pickle chips.

These would be good with burgers, sandwiches or barbecue, or even chopped and added to potato salad.

At Costco, pickles are one of those items where the larger size can make sense if your family eats them regularly because they tend to have a longer refrigerator life than many other fresh foods.

Feta Cheese

This Feta Cheese is $8.99 per pound, and if you catch the sale, there’s also $4 off each package.

Feta is one of those ingredients that’s useful to keep around because you can add it to salads, pasta, roasted vegetables, eggs and Mediterranean-style bowls. You can also crumble it over watermelon or tomatoes for an easy side dish.

New and Returning Costco Prepared Meals

Costco prepared meals are popular for a reason. They’re often significantly less expensive than ordering restaurant takeout for an entire family.

They’re also useful for nights when you need dinner on the table quickly.

Mon Cuisine Oven Roasted Beef Brisket

Mon Cuisine Oven Roasted Beef Brisket is $10.99 per pound. It comes already prepared in au jus, so all you have to do is heat it up and add your favorite sides.

This is a good last-minute dinner option because most of the work has already been done for you. Serve it with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice or even rolls for brisket sandwiches.

Mon Cuisine Oven Roasted Natural Rib Eye

Mon Cuisine Oven Roasted Natural Rib Eye is $16.99 per pound. It comes already prepared, making it an easy option for a quick dinner when you want something a little more substantial without cooking a rib eye from scratch.

Serve it with potatoes, vegetables or a simple salad for an easy weeknight meal.

Bolder Foods Loaded Baked Potato Soup

Bolder Foods Loaded Baked Potato Soup is back for $9.99. You get two 24-ounce containers, which is three pounds of soup total.

That makes this an easy meal to keep in the refrigerator for nights when you don’t feel like cooking. Pair it with bread or a salad and dinner is basically done.

Costco Oktoberfest Foods

Costco’s seasonal foods are one of the reasons I always like checking the warehouse regularly. Right now, Costco has several German-inspired foods that are perfect for Oktoberfest season.

A La Carte Beef Sauerbraten

A La Carte Beef Sauerbraten is $19.99 for two pounds. It’s a traditional German-style pot roast in a sweet and tangy sauce, and it’s already prepared.

That makes it an easy way to have an Oktoberfest-inspired dinner at home without making sauerbraten from scratch. Serve it with potatoes, noodles, red cabbage or vegetables.

Ventera Chicken Schnitzel

Ventera Chicken Schnitzel is $14.99 for two pounds. You get six pre-breaded chicken breast cutlets with a German-style mushroom sauce.

The schnitzel can be made in the air fryer, making this another convenient dinner option. At six pieces per package, it could work well for a family meal, especially if you serve it with potatoes, vegetables or salad.

Bistro 28 Pretzel Bites

Bistro 28 Pretzel Bites are $11.99. You get approximately 50 soft pretzel bites with two cheddar cheese dips and one mustard dip.

These are an easy Oktoberfest appetizer, but they would also be great for football season, game day or parties.

Lakes & Rivers Bavarian Style Three Cheese Mac

Lakes & Rivers Bavarian Style Three Cheese Mac is back for $13.99. It’s made with cheddar, Gouda and Swiss cheeses and comes in a two-pound package.

This would work as a side dish with many of the other Oktoberfest foods, but it’s substantial enough that you could also build a quick meal around it.

Three Popular Costco Deli Meals Are Back

A few of Costco’s popular comfort-food meals have also returned.

Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie

The Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie has returned. It’s around $24 for a massive family-size pie that weighs more than five pounds.

This is one of my kids favorite prepared meals. It’s definitely a big meal and can easily feed my family of four with leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch.

The filling has chicken and vegetables in a creamy sauce with a flaky crust. I personally think this is one of the best valued Costco prepared foods.

Kirkland Signature Chili

Costco’s chili is back in the deli too. This is my husband’s favorite Costco prepared meal.

It comes ready to heat with shredded cheese on top, so dinner requires very little work. You can serve it as-is or add sour cream, avocado, chopped onions or tortilla chips.

It’s also an easy meal for football season or a cold night when you want something hearty.

Kirkland Signature Shepherd’s Pie

The Kirkland Signature Shepherd’s Pie is also back. It’s around $23 for a large pie that easily feeds four to six people. My kids and husband love it.

Shepherd’s Pie is another one of those easy comfort-food dinners where most of the prep has already been done. I just stick it in the oven and dinner is ready!

Add a simple vegetable or salad and it’s an easy family dinner.

New Costco Snacks

Calbee Shrimp Chips Variety Pack

Calbee Shrimp Chips Variety Pack is $13.49 for 24 individual bags, which works out to about 56 cents per bag. You get three flavors: Sriracha Mayo, Original and Hot Garlic.

I like that these are individually packaged because they’re easy to pack for lunches, road trips or grab-and-go snacks. The variety pack also lets you try three different flavors without committing to a large bag of just one.

New Costco Drinks

Zevia Variety Pack

Zevia Variety Pack is $18.69 for 30 cans, which works out to about 62 cents per can. This is a convenient option if you like keeping zero-sugar sodas on hand but don’t want to commit to one flavor.

The variety pack also makes it easy to stock the fridge for family members or guests who like different flavors.

What I’m Most Excited to Try

There are quite a few Costco foods on this list that caught my attention.

I’m especially interested in the Good Foods Chimichurri because I already use chimichurri regularly on grilled meat and vegetables.

The Mason Dixie Chicken Biscuits also seem like a good value at just $1.97 per sandwich, especially compared with buying breakfast out.

For dessert, the Mini Dubai Chocolate Style Ice Cream Sandwiches are probably the most interesting new find. Costco is clearly tapping into the Dubai chocolate trend, and the combination of chocolate and pistachio sounds delicious.

I’m also happy to see the Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherd’s Pie and chili returning. Plus, I’m also looking forward to serving some of my Oktoberfest food favorites like the Bavarian style mac and cheese and chicken schnitzel. Those are the kind of easy Costco comfort food meals that can make busy fall nights much easier.

Prices and availability may vary by Costco warehouse.
