27 Best Healthy Foods that I Only Buy at Costco Because It’s Cheaper

Need healthy food but are on a budget? The good news is Costco makes it affordable to eat healthy. From Greek yogurt to organic produce to organic milk to probiotics, there is a wide selection of healthy foods that you can buy cheap at Costco. Make sure you add these items to your shopping list. So you can make low cost meals that are healthy for the family!

Best Costco Healthy Foods

Chobani Zero Sugar Yogurt

I recently discovered these Chobani zero sugar yogurts while sampling at Costco. I have never been a fan of Greek yogurt since it tastes too tart for my liking. I usually prefer the sweeter, less healthy yogurts like Activia.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of these Chobani yogurts. Not only do they taste amazing, but they don’t have that typical tangy flavor of Greek yogurt. Also, they are only 60 calories per serving, which is a bonus. I am now completely hooked and buy them every time I’m at Costco.

Dave’s Killer Bread (21 Whole Grains and Seeds)

It’s much cheaper to buy Dave’s Killer Bread at Costco. If you haven’t tried it yet, this bread is hands down one of the best-tasting whole-grain options. It’s incredibly moist—not dry like many others—and has a fantastic flavor that even my kids love. Each slice packs 6 grams of protein (the same as an egg), along with 4 grams of fiber and 22 grams of whole grains.

Epoca Cool+ Drink

If you haven’t tried these Epoca Cool+ drinks, you need to. These are probiotic drinks that you can take daily. They are the more affordable version of Yakult, the original probiotic drink that is very popular in Japan and Asia.

Costco Epoca Cool+

The taste is similar to that of Yakult but at a much lower price. I always keep a case of these drinks at home, and my kids love them as well. My son loves it so much that if I don’t stop him, he can drink multiple bottles at once. That’s how good it is! Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Nature’s Bakery Oatmeal Crumble

If you haven’t already, you should definitely try these oatmeal crumbles. They come in two flavors: strawberry and apple. They’re a lot like granola bars, but they’re made with oatmeal instead. My kids love these as a snack, and if we’re in a hurry, they’ll eat them for breakfast (although they’re a little small for a breakfast bar).

What I like most about these oatmeal crumbles is that they’re produced in a peanut-free facility. My son is allergic to peanuts, and I’m always nervous about giving him granola bars because of possible cross-contamination with peanuts. With these oatmeal crumbles, though, I know that it’s safe for him to eat them.

Mayorga Organic Chia Seeds

I always get my chia seeds from Costco because you can’t beat the price. For only $8.69, you can get a 3 lb bag of organic chia seeds that are perfect for adding to oatmeal. I also like to use them for making chia pudding with almond milk, which is a delicious and healthy dessert option.

Seeds of Change Organic Quinoa & Brown Rice

I always keep a few pouches of these Seeds of Change quinoa and brown rice at home for those times when I need rice in a hurry. They’re super handy for quick and easy meals when I haven’t had a chance to plan ahead and don’t have time to cook rice in the rice cooker. These pouches cook up perfectly in the microwave in just 90 seconds, and the garlic flavor is absolutely delicious.

Kirkland Guacamole

I always buy Guacamole at Costco because it’s cheaper there than anywhere else. I prefer the Kirkland Guacamole because it is packed in single-serve cups. That way I can keep an eye on my portion size and not overeat on guacamole.

Vintage Seltzer

I’m not sure if seltzer is considered “healthy food,” but I think it is since it satisfies my craving for soda. It serves as a substitute for my diet Coke cravings, and I enjoy drinking it with a generous slice of lime.

Costco Vintage Seltzer

That’s why I always make sure to grab a case of Vintage seltzer when I’m at Costco. They have the best price, just $7.99 for 15 bottles. It’s become a staple item on my Costco shopping list. If you’re someone like me, looking for a healthier soda alternative, try seltzer with lime (or lemon)!

Bone Broth

I love the Kirkland Organic Chicken Bone Broth from Costco. It’s flavorful, high-quality, and more budget-friendly than bone broths at other stores.

I always have a case of Kirkland vanilla-flavored almond milk because I find it incredibly convenient. They are shelf-stable, meaning that I don’t have to worry about refrigerating them until I open them.

Since I’m the only one in my house who drinks almond milk, it’s perfect for me. I usually add a splash of vanilla-flavored almond milk to my coffee, and I love that it’s organic and healthy.

Whisps Cheese Crisps

I always go for these Whisps Parmesan Cheese Crisps whenever I crave a snack. They are a healthier option than the usual potato chips. Plus, they are high protein and gluten-free, and the fact that they are baked makes them even better for you.

I always buy them at Costco since they have the best price by far.  My kids are also big fans of these cheese crisps and love to have them as an after-school snack.

Skinny Pop

I always make it a point to get my Skinny Pop from Costco. The prices there are unbeatable! Whether you’re looking for a big party-sized bag or a case of individual bags, it’s cheaper at Costco.

Personally, I prefer the individual bags because it helps me keep my portions in check. Otherwise, I’d be prone to overeating.

I also love these snacks because they are peanut-free and tree-nut-free, so they are safe for my son to eat. Plus, at only 100 calories per bag, you don’t feel guilty snacking on them.

Each case comes in four flavors: kettle corn, white cheddar, spicy queso, and sea salt. Our favorite, by far is the red kettle corn flavor. I wish they sold a case of just kettle corn.
